S rsly, tho, I knew some states had “truck” plates but I’ve never heard of Electric plates. Are you allowed 3 vehicular homicides per year if you have these?

Yes, 3 vehicular homicides , and regular plates only get 1.

Really though, the only benefit of these that I know of is that they’re $ 35 instead of $ 100 f or a regular car. We don’t have any carpool lanes AFAIK ( yet), and I don’t believe they get a discount on tollways.

Government/municipal vehicles actually have their own class of plate, too. IMO those are more low key than the electric car plates that stick out like a sore thumb.

I IRC, the sheer numbers of plate types in this state have been a major headache. Been r un down by someone with a plate that says “LOL”? Well that plate number could in theory be attached to like 100 cars.

Lol and I think half of those plates were issued to about 10 cars in total. It’s ridiculous but a lot of states are doing that to add a bit of revenue.

Nothing on AutoCheck, either. When the plate from my dad’s xB got transferred to the Canyon, it originally said “xB”, then let you choose xB or Canyon, and it now just says “Canyon.”
